Today my Dad is completing his SIXTH In-Line Marathon on the North Shore of Duluth, MN. That's 26.2 miles along Lake Superior's splendid coastline, hopefully with the wind at his back.

Those balloons at the start line told the story--flying straight up in to the air and showing the kind of calm day which is almost as good as a tailwind. I started near the front of the second wave and couldn't keep up with the first two lines I joined, but did well with the third one, and though times are not yet posted, I may have a personal best around 1 hr 30minutes. Thanks for thinking of me, you two.
